Licensing and Occupancy Visibility

14.1 Available today #

• bbx certify validates the license and reserves a seat when possible.

• bbx vacancy queries the license server and reports total seats plus current occupied and vacant counts when the server supports occupancy summaries.

• Local reservation metadata is stored under /̃.config/dosaygo/bbpro/tickets/.

• A running BrowserBox revalidates its licence every 331 seconds, using the fallback licensing endpoints when a primary is unavailable (Section 2.6).

14.2 When every seat is in use #

If certification or startup finds no vacant seat, bbx stops with:

Error: No vacant seat available. Every seat on this licence is in use.

  See who holds them:  bbx vacancy
  Free one:            bbx stop-user <username>
  Add seats:           sales@dosaygo.com

Extra seats are added to your existing licence; your key does not change.

Additional seats are added to the existing licence by DOSAYGO sales; the product key stays the same and no reconfiguration is needed. bbx stop-user is not available on Windows; stop the BrowserBox instance holding the seat on that machine with bbx stop instead.

14.3 Ticket upgrade on first certification #

Seat reservations (tickets) now carry a signing key generated on the BrowserBox host. The first certification after upgrading from an older release converts an existing ticket automatically and prints Updating existing ticket to holder-owned signing credentials... No action is required. If certification instead reports Existing ticket cannot be migrated, contact support@dosaygo.com with the bbx certify output.

14.4 What bbx vacancy means #

bbx vacancy

For modern servers, bbx vacancy reports a customer-safe summary:

• total seats

• occupied seats now

• vacant seats now

• leased active

• reserved active

By default it does not expose seat IDs or deeper lease inventory to ordinary customer keys.

14.5 What is not surfaced here #

This BrowserBox runtime still does not surface richer customer history such as:

• detailed current lease inventory for ordinary customer keys

• free-seat counts over time

• occupancy history
